Hive wanted to change the world. The gig driver world. One of automotive's most competitive industries, and one of the world's most polluting industries. How? Through an all-in-on-E approach.
To make it happen, Hive went all-in on FreeagentsLA, and our tribe of positive change makers.
Day one, minute one, we were building not just a new brand, but a new way to get from point A to point B, and with it, a better world. Building it through all our skill sets - a powerful mission statement, a unique vision, ownable brand positioning, brand marks and brand tone and brand feel that directly connect with the audience, and a marketing strategy born from a wealth of automotive experience.
All of which translated into the DriveHive website. The sky was the limit – the clear blue, smog free sky.
E Is No Longer Just For Elites
"Electric cars are for the rich" says Google search, over and over again. Our job was to disrupt this belief. To bring E to everyone who called themselves a gig driver.
We began with a very clean and fun and powerful site. Educate through factual insights. Delight through fun design. And get the handshake through simple to understand promises and benefits. And, within hours of launch, the perception of electric vehicles went from unattainable luxury, to undeniable necessity.
Building A Better World Through A Better Brand
Within days of launch, the DriveHive site was receiving thousands of views and submissions to reserve electric vehicles. Interest so intense, it went far past what Hive was prepared to deliver, and a long waiting list was created. A good problem indeed.
And we too went past the original assignment, delivering brand extensions and social campaigns. When you've in it for the greater good, the sky – the clear blue, smog free sky -– is the limit.
